Use of Google Analytics and Cookies

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics tool provided by Google LLC (“Google”), to understand how visitors use our website and to improve its functionality and content.

What Data is Collected

Through cookies and similar technologies, Google Analytics may collect the following data:

  • Operating system and device type
  • Referring URL
  • Time of visit and time spent on each page

This information is collected in a manner that may constitute personal data under Zimbabwe’s Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07].

Purpose of Processing

This data is processed for the following legitimate purposes:

  • Improving the website’s content and performance
  • Measuring and analysing user behaviour and trends
  • Enhancing security and detecting potential fraud or abuse

We do not use Google Analytics data for profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on the individual.

Legal Basis for Processing

In accordance with Section 25 of the Cyber and Data Protection Act, personal data is processed:

  • Based on your explicit consent when you accept cookies via our cookie banner
  • Under our legitimate interest in optimizing the performance and security of our website

Your Rights Under the Data Protection Act

  • As a data subject under Zimbabwean law, you have the right to:
  • Access the personal data we process about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal
  • Object to the processing of your data for certain purposes

Data Transfers
